ALMOND MILK



Ingredients:

  • 10 almonds, soaked overnight in enough water to cover the nuts,
  • Pinch of freshly grated cardamom,
  • 1 cup warm milk if dairy or water if pareve,
  • 1 teaspoon sugar free simple syrup,
  • Pinch of freshly cracked black pepper,

* Multiple recipe times number of people, if yielding more than one serving.


Directions:

1. Drain the soaked almonds, while reserving the soaking water, and remove the skin from the almonds. Place the almonds, soaking water, pepper, and cardamom, in a blender or food processor.  Blend on high for 5 minutes.

2. Combine the freshly prepared  almond mixture with the warm milk if dairy or water if pareve.  Stir in the simple syrup for a sweetened almond milk. 

3. Drink immediately.
