ONION RINGS
Ingredients:
- 2 medium onions,
- 1 cup flour, extra flour if needed,
- 1 cup olive oil or other vegetable oil, if frying,
- Salt to taste,
Directions:
- Peel skin of onions and slice, separate into rings, and place in boiling water for 5 minutes.
- Safely remove onions and let cool in ice water for approximately 3 minutes.
- Completely drain water from onions, roll the rings in flour, and fry in hot olive oil or an air fryer until golden brown .
- Sprinkle the crisp rings with salt, and serve.

BBQ Sauce Ingredients:
- 1 cup organic ketchup or other ketchup,
- 1/4 cup sugar-free simple syrup,
- 1/8 cup apple cider vinegar,
- 2 tablespoons olive oil,
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste,
- 2 tablespoons hot sauce,
Directions:
- In a medium bowl. whisk together all of the ingredients, or puree in a blender.
- Makes 8 servings.
